Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as indicated by no additional printings stated on copyright page, book is in excellent condition with two minor flaws: a short remainder mark on the top edge and short creasing at the spine-ends, the binding is clean and tight and the contents are fine, the jacket has mild tanning to the blue coloring on the spine, a small but open tear on the spine and mild wear at the spine-ends and top front corner, the jacket is clean and presentable and features a nice photo of the author at his desk on the rear panel, "this is the first volume of a two-volume work - one of the great memoirs of World War II".
