As New/No Jacket as Issued. First Edition, First Impression. It got close to winning the Booker Prize, but perhaps the most remarkable fact is how it got published at all. It was rejected by many before this small press decided to go with it, and the book became an instant hit when it got through to the long list and then the short list for the Booker. This will always be the first edition of her first book of course, and it happened to be a very small one, about 2,500 copies. 0.0 0.0 0.0.
