Name inked inside front cover, foxing to cream-colored endpapers, else text clean; first 8 pages dog-eared in upper corner; faded blue-green topstain; fading & scratches to spine of book; pagination to 1168, 1171 including 'About the Author'. The iconic George Salter dustjacket has suffered the loss of 5" x 2" chip along the bottom of the rear panel, taking out the caption beneath Ms. Rand's photograph; the rest of the dust jacket exhibits moderate wear: edgewear & small closed tears.
