The history of Texas-Mexico relations from the time of the Santa Fe Expedition through the return of the Somervell Expedition from the Rio Grande. The year 1842 was a dramatic year - twice San Antonio fell to Mexican generals, and twice the Texans assembled armies for an invasion of Mexico.
