Vanishingly scarce. A copy of 'The Australasian Federal Directory', containing Part I - Alphabetical Directory, and Part II - Classified Directory.Illustrated with fourteen double-paged colour maps labelled No. 1 - 15, presumably lacking map No. 13. No collation provided for maps, with just one other copy of the work found, which held 12 maps. Part I contains an alphabetical directory of Australasia, including Fiji, New Guinea, New SOuth Wales, New Zealand, Norfolk Island, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. Part II contains the classified directory, including an index of occupations, customs tariffs, and over one hundred thousand addresses of businesses and tradespeople. With publisher's advertisements to the front and rear of the work, and additional advertisements to the cover. Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, worn, with rubbing and loss to the cloth, tears to the joints and lifting to backstrip. Hinges have failed, with textblock detached. Internally, textblock has split, with remaining binding strained in places. First and last few pages, including title page, are disbound but present. Closed tears and a few chips to title page.
