Item description from seller

This is a practical book on how to train, handle and care for the working sheep dog. The training of sheep dogs is very much an oral tradition -- handed down rather than written down.Commands can vary between handlers, properties and regions. Part of this book is that it lays down a reliable set of commands which could well become a standard. This book is replete with the wisdom one hears from those who work stock and other animals and care to do their job well.
