See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1908 publication and not a modern reprint. Fully bound in green leather and decorated with gilt. Leather shows scuffing and soiling along with chipping to edges of spine. Corners and edges also show bumps/wear in the front exterior hinge is splitting along the lower half. Interior is in much better shape with no hinge issues. Marbled end pages and front and rear and both pastedowns are also blind in gilt. The front pastedown contains the personal bookplate of Benjamin Rowland and the second front end page contains a signature of his son James Day Rowland. The only other markings found in the book is on the page opposite of James Day Rowland's signature, where there are four blue pencil marks. Pages are toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing and spotting present. The book interior grades as a comfortable VG but the reason for the low condition grade is the cracking of the front hinge on the exterior of the book. Unpaginated (estimated 200 pages).
