With commentaries on his journey along the Rivers Seine and Loire, as well as their tributaries, alongside four or five Englishmen during the year 1873. Written by James Lynam Molloy, an Irish composer, poet, and author. Illustrated by Edward Linley Sambourne, an English cartoonist and illustrator most famous as a draughtsman at Punch for more than forty years and rising to the position of "First Cartoonist" in his final decade. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Small splits to the rear joint with the odd small mark to the boards. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. Further spotting to the first and last few pages.
