B. Keene was a twentieth-century British logician and mathematician whose work linked formal logic, set theory, and the philosophy of logic. Biographical details about him are sparse, and he is known almost entirely through his publications and their use in teaching and specialist debate. His best-known book, Abstract Sets and Finite Ordinals: An Introduction to the Study of Set Theory (Pergamon, 1961; later Dover) , offers an accessible yet rigorous introduction to basic set theory with attention to its logical foundations. He also authored The Relational Syllogism: A Systematic Approach to Relational Logic, extending traditional syllogistic logic to relational contexts. Overseas postage will be sent by airmail if you select priority and surface if you select standard postage. Surface mail to the United States or Canada can take up to six weeks, and up to twelve weeks to Australia and New Zealand.
