(Alphabet) BABIES' OWN ABC (code number 1142). New York: McLoughlin Bros. Incorporated, [1907]. First edition. 8vo - 5-15/16" x 8-1/16". Full color pictorial stiff linen wrappers in lovely condition. [8]pp. including wrappers. The entire book is printed on the same stiff linen as the wrappers. Internally, there are six pages where each of the letters of the alphabet, words that start with each of the letters of the alphabet, and an illustration of each of these words are printed. Each letter is boldly printed in red with a black outline. The accompanying illustrations are likewise, printed in black and red. The pages of the book are basically as new. The McLOUGHLIN BROTHERS PAPERS in the de Grummond Children's Literature Collection at The University of Southern Mississippi has a color proof of the cover and two interior pages of this book but they classified the book as "publication status unknown". Well, it was published and here is a chance to own this rare McLoughlin ABC in VERY FINE condition.
