Full color pictorial stiff card wrappers cut around the shape of a cute little Attwell boy dressed in striped pajamas with moveable arms rivetted in place. The wrappers exhibit minor rubbing around the die cut outline of the child, a crease across the neckline, a crease across the forehead right at Billy's hairline and a small crease near the rivet on each of his arms. This book is a very desirable, hard to find Attwell book in very nice shape. [16]pp. The book tells the story of Billy and how proud he is of his new pajamas and what trouble his pride gets him into. The good news is that Billy's troubles all occurred in a dream and he learns from his dream not to be so proud so his lesson was rather easily learned. Every other page has a full page black and white and red illustration by Mabel Lucie Attwell of Billy and his dolly friends including a Gollywog. Internally, there is minor offsetting to a few of the illustrations for what is still a lovely copy of the book. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD. Extremely rare. Seller Inventory # 000136
