Probable American first edition (no direct statement provided; first published in England by Lincolns-Prager in 1949). 79 pages. Hardcover: H 25.25cm x L 18.75cm. Dust jacket foxed and rubbed with nicks and tears at edges; rear panel's bottom left corner chipped; crease at front panel's top right. Green cloth with bright gilt stamped lettering to spine and front board. Foxing on initial and rear leaves; faint toning at page margins; small chip at rear free endpaper lower fore-edge margin. Binding is firm. A very good copy in a good+ dust jacket. With b/w portrait photographs of Russell and family. Features seven chapters titled as: "Philosopher and Prophet," "Mathematics, Pacifism and Marriage," "Children, Education and Divorce," "Third Marriage and World Affairs," "Analytical Empiricism," "Philosophy, Religion and Morality," and "Bertrand Russell's Principal Works.".
