" Like other filmmakers operating well outside the mainstream, Herschell Gordon Lewis had to give audience something that they weren't getting from established cinema. At first, it was 'nudie' movies, now-quaint relics of the early '60s which showed a few breasts and bottoms and little else. But after cranking out the likes of Living Venus, Daughter of the Sun, and The Advnetures of Lucky Pierre, Lewis began to realize that he'd have to go further, showing more and more, with each film.
