Originally published by James Carpenter, London, 1837. The second work is" Practical Hints on Composition in Painting." 31 pages. Originally published by James Carpenter, London, 1822. The Third work is "Practical Hints on Colour in Painting. Illustrated by Examples from the Works of the Venetian, Flemish, and Dutch Schools." 45 pages. Originally published by James Carpenter, London, 1826. The final work is "Practical Hints on Colour in Painting. Illustrated by Examples from the Works of the Venetian, Flemish, and Dutch Schools." 31 pages. Originally published by James Carpenter, London, 1827. Pages are in excellent condition as are the copious plates. Leather edges on cover are worn. Binding is very weak at front hinge, otherwise excellent. Approximately 10" X 13". Weighs almost six pounds.
