First edition, first printing (with title listings on copyright page showing the vignette of the elephant between "Zephir's Holidays" and "The A.B.C. of Babar"). G/-. Folio, measures 10-1/2" x 12-3/4", matte paper over boards, cream cloth binding. Rubbed at extremities, several light scratches on front cover. Contents are clean save for one random mark on the first page of text (see picture, the mark appears to the left of the fourth line of text), two closed tears (both of them are pictured), and one erased pencil mark that has scored the paper (also pictured). With these exceptions, the pages are bright and clean, binding and hinges are sound.
