First edition, first issue, with misspellings on title leaf. Oblong octavo. Designed, etched, and published by George Cruikshank, August 1st, 1844. Etched title leaf and 24 etchings printed on 12 plates. In the original publisher s olive-green cloth boards stamped in gold on both covers, all edges gilt. Light vertical crease on front cover, front hinge is tender, a few plates are loose, else very good. A scarce, bright copy in attractive publisher s cloth. *Cohn* 192.
