Small 4to. 7.25 x 9.5 in. 342 pp. First issue, in original mauve cloth with large gilt panels with dark blue borders and large pictorial onlay; titled in gilt on spine, top edge gilt. Complete with eight color plates and blue illustrated endpapers by Jessie Willcox Smith. A very nice copy of a beautiful fairy tale, and one of MacDonald's masterpieces. Very near fine in very good to near fine pictorial dust jacket. Very light trace of rubbing to covers; light edgwear to dust jacket, with small closed tear at bottom of spine panel.
