Creasing on pages 23-29 and a 1 inch closed tear on page 23/24, yet the text remains uncompromised. Even still, the hinges are strong, the binding is sound, and the poetry is delightful and moving. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: "Archibald Hamilton Rutledge (1883?1973) was an American poet and educator, the first South Carolina poet laureate from 1934 to 1973. He wrote over 50 books and many poems, usually about his hunting and life experiences in South Carolina. [.] He was named the first South Carolina Poet Laureate in 1934.
