A Barbarian in India

There have been many books on India but few such as this. The writing is candid and critical, stemming from the mind of a cultured traveller, a Dane who is eager to understand the India of the Indians whilst admitting his amazement at some of their manners and customs. The author writes with such immedicay that we are his companions and his confidantes from the first page of this fascinating travel book. From city to city, temple to temple, household to household we follow the author in his quest for some knowledge of the soul of India. This is a book which stands on a peak overlooking the old and the new India, and will vastly reward the reader interested in what India has to offer to the future. Illustrated. 160 pp. Foxing to end pages and edge. Wear, tear and a couple of repairs to D/J. Price clipped.
