First edition 2 volume hardback set, 1881, with no jackets as issued. In overall very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - blue buckram boards slightly rubbed. Bindings tight and appear little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; tanning to page-ends and the odd spot of foxing here and there but text and illustrations (with tissue-paper guards) bright and clear throughout.
