First edition of Battery Flashes in the original publisher's cloth binding.By Wagger, the pen-name for Cecil William Longley.A scarce work with only four copies held in libraries.Longley's account details his time as a signaller in a Field Artillery brigade, including accounts of the organisation and training of his unit, and at the front in Belgium and France.Newspaper clipping attached to the first free endpaper by prior owners. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The hinges are strained but firm.
