Item description from seller

Clean first edition with front panel and flap of the dust jacket laid in. Yellow cloth boards with black lettering and three-bird decoration on cover, black lettering on spine. Small spots of wear at lower spine corners. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Previous owner inscription on front free endpaper in light pencil (erasable). Pages are clean with rose red top-stained upper page edges. Illustrated with full page photographs. A true account of a friendship developed between two families (one human, one bird ) and their travels together around the world. An article pasted on rear fixed endpaper refutes the claims in the book that the same birds were following the Holton family, but let's let you decide.
