Rubens.Here Haber recognizes that metals represent lattices of electrons and ions, but he did not yet realize that electrons in the metal lattice can move freely and behave like an ideal gas. Haber was professor of technical chemistry in Karlsruhe and at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry at Daklem. He was awarded the Nobel prize in 1918. His synthesis of ammonia from its two constituent elements, nitrogen and hydrogen, is known as the synthetic ammonia process, or Haber-Bosch process, the model for all subsequent high pressure syntheses. #1: Original orange wraps.
