About the Author
Sasha Mullins is a multi-talented artist, and author of Bikerlady: Living & Riding Free! Smitten by two-wheeled freedom as a gypsy rider on the open road, she's also a popular freelance journalist for several motorcycle publications such as Easyriders, American Iron, Cycle World, American Rider, Thunder Press, Harley Davidsons HOG Tales and Forbes Magazine.
She is the co-host of a new series on The Learning Channel: "Biker Girls: Born to Be Wild" set to debut July 2003. Sasha also recently starred in the Discovery Channel documentary, "Motorcycle Women," about female motorcyclists that is in regular rotation on the network. She was featured on the BBC World documentary hosted by famed DJ Mary Anne Hobbs "Mary Anne's Bikes: Motorcycling Around the World" a 12-part series that aired worldwide to 120 million viewers.
Author, journalist, singer, songwriter, spokesperson, Sashas entrepreneurial spirit has led to the creation of Bikerlady, Inc., a full service merchandise and information company dedicated to the female motorcycle rider, competitor and passenger. Currently in production is a full service website which mirrors this ambitious effort.
Music and film work is another creative outlet for this self-proclaimed "artist of sorts." Sasha wrote and recorded an anthem for bikerladies entitled "Gotta Roarrr!" which was featured on the BBC and various news segments in New York City and featured on the Discovery Channel. And the song was still in demo form!
Sasha has written a collection of rock songs inspired by her love for riding, wanderlust romance and the roads magic. Sasha and her band, The Road, will be in the recording studio this summer and fall working on their first album together. The Road features veteran musicians who have recorded and performed with rock n roll's finest bands. The band's official title is "Sasha & The Road."
Theres always an inspiring message in everything Sasha sets out to do based upon her passion for riding motorcycles. One of the statements for Bikerlady, Inc. is: Experience Beautiful Freedom. "Life is a statement and I approach each project with innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit. I want to live my dreams and I want to inspire others to discover and live theirs, too."
"My passion for motorcycles and the open road serves as my creative foundation for every word I scribe, be it corporate, technical, motorcycle, spiritual, musical, whatever. I like to experience the beautiful freedom that the open road offers, because it opens up the soul to endless possibilities. Getting out on the open road is very healing and filled with surprises." Through her creative outlets, Sasha looks forward to spreading the message of empowerment through self-discovery and living life passionately, based upon her personal road journeys and love for the open road and riding motorcycles.
As a unique character among the many in her hometown New York City, Sasha tears asphalt on her Harley wearing glitter and leather and a smile wrapped clear 'round her face. "I love flaunting my free spirit; Im definitely somebody who grabs life by the handlebars." And flaunting her non-stop creative energy and unearthing business and creative opportunities is the force and drive that is the foundation for her creed: "They told me no so I stole the asphalt. Come on, catch me if you can."
