Item description from seller

First published in 1965 (BILL THE GALACTIC HERO, Doubleday), followed much later (1989-1992) by seven follow-up adventures, the first two by the author alone, the remaining five co-written. The 1965 volume ''is a sharp extended lampoon of aspects of stories by Robert A Heinlein, Isaac Asimov and even Harrison himself, but the later volumes of the series declined, unfortunately, into undirected slapstick'' (John Clute/Encyclopedia of SF, 4th edition). Volume seven in the series. Fine copy in a fine dustjacket (s new). First hardcover edition (& 1st printing).
