In addition, they will intentionally practice process skills including teamwork, information processing, critical thinking, and communication. The topics in this book cover the major themes of biomolecules, metabolism, and the replication, transcription, and translation of genetic information.

• They use discipline content to facilitate the development of important process skills, including higher-level thinking and the ability to learn and to apply knowledge in new contexts.
