Extremely discreet ex-library, with NO spine marking; sole indication is a small blind-emboss on the title page. First edition, a tight and handsome copy of this massive (3� thick!) tome difficult to find in acceptable condition. Superb plates and biographical sketches of Illinois pioneers and politicos.
