Decorative leather covers rebacked in later cloth. Large, thick quarto. 477pp. All edges gilt. A comprehensive reference work devoted to hundreds of important men residing in this shoreline Connecticut county up to the late 19th century. There are short biographies and genealogies of each man and the book is illustrated with numerous portraits. The leather covers are heavily scuffed and worn and there is some chipping to the bottom of the front cover. The text is in good condition with some moderate thumbsoiling and wear. Postage extra on this heavy tome.
