Early printing of this first edition with color plates. Olive green cloth with a raised bird illustration and gilt lettering. Top edge gilt. 195 pp. plus 75 beautiful full-page illustrations in color. Light shelfwear, with moderately frayed spine ends. The spine tail is darkened. A gift inscription and previous owner's name are on the second free endpaper. The front hinge is stretched, with a 1" tear. Otherwise fine in a square, tight binding. A very handsome copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
