340pp. Blue pictorial cloth stamped in gold and blind on the front panel and the spine panel, all edges gilt, pale yellow endpapers. With 210 illustrations by Hector Giacomelli. Translation of the famous work L'oiseau, originally published in France in 1856. Contemporary inscription on the front free endpaper. Some wear to extremities, spine panel is faded. Internally very clean but for a couple of minor smudges to margins and a touch of foxing. A bright, very good copy. ; Octavo.
