Beautiful carved wooden board binding, with leather along the spine with 5 bands and gilt title. "Jerusalem" "1879" on the front and a carved Star of David on the front board. Gilt page edges all round. Hinge and text block firm. Various inked inscriptions to the front free end papers. Some light foxing to pages. Frontispiece sepia illustration of Moses in a basket.
