The 1901 1st edition of the Library Catalogue for the Bishopsgate Institute lending library. The Bishopsgate Institute opened in 1895 and is a cultural institute. The original aims of the Institute were to provide a public library, public hall and meeting rooms for people living and working in the City of London. The book is in good condition for it's age, but has obviously been well used. In plain boards with a red fabric spine, which has at some point got wet as it has stained the front cover and at the bottom of some of the pages. Also included are forty slips for book requests (see pics). Extra pics can be supplied if required.
