Inaugural issue of Black Books Bulletin, a quarterly that ran for nearly twenty-five years. Decisive, incisive, and beautifully laid out journal that was more than just a book review in the typical sense. Scarce 1st issue is in overall excellent condition. Comes from the home of a tobacco smoker, so there is a very faint sense of odor and toning, but inoffensive if even noticeable. Cover has some stray scuffs and short creases, most notably on the back cover, where the corner has a shallow crease, and there is a light vertical crease about 1 inch towards the middle, which is then followed towards the interior with a faint bump that mimics that crease, which does not effect the overall quality, and which fades halfway in from the back. The interior is bright, clean, unmarked except for some staining on the front title page and a much smaller stain at the very bottom of the last 2-3 pages. Now in mylar, a nice overall copy of a very scarce document of Black literary history. Seller Inventory # ABE-1700412444453
