First edition, first printing. Published by Chapman and Hall in London, 1932. This is a near fine copy. Complete with frontispiece-map, original patterned 'Snakeskin' cloth, with spine lettered in gilt. The spine is slightly faded and bumped at the head and foot. Sadly lacking the dust wrapper. The internals are clean and free from previous owner's inscriptions. The text blocks are so marginally foxed and toned. Overall, this is a near fine copy. Waugh's third novel. Seller Inventory # 17001
