Add to basketThe first edition of this work on the life and artwork of William Blake, enclosed in the original dust wrapper. A fascinating biographical work on the life and artwork of William Blake. Blake was a poet and painter of the Romantic age, and is considered to be a seminal figure in his fields of work.Written by Geoffrey Keynes. The first edition of this work.Illustrated with eight electrotypes of original plates, forty-eight reproductions in collotype from works by William Blake, and five in-text figures. Collated and complete.Enclosed in the original dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with some edgewear and chipping to the extremities, particularly the head of the backstrip. A small closed tear to the head of the front of the wrap. Some spotting to the wrap and an ink mark to the front of the wrap. Internally, front hinge lightly strained to the tail. Remaining binding is firm. Some spots to the first and last few pages, which are otherwise bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
