Blood Kin

Searching for her birth mother, Bailey Elliot arrives on Tawes Island only to be met with hostility by its residents and soon discovers that her life is in danger when she finds a diary that reveals the truth about a decades-old murder. Original.

The islands of the hauntingly beautiful Chesapeake Bay are steeped in mystery and legend.  Some say this is a bit of America that time forgot.  I am descended from early settlers who came to the region when Indians and pirates held more sway than an English king far away across the broad Atlantic.  Here, on these isolated bits of sand and marsh, strong people still cling to their unique and independent lifestyle and their own style of talking.  And, yes, we do have our own way of doing things . . . and there is such a thing as Island Justice.  You're welcome to come and listen . . . welcome to take in the sounds  and smell of the waves and the mist in early morning . . . but don't think you can change us.  Here, on Tawes, we don't take to change, and we cling to faith and family and the value of friendship.  Above all, we look after our own.
