Aimed at boys, the books featured Alan Kane & Ted Dolliver as they engaged in "thrills not duplicated since Jules Verne." Unlike some of his other titles, this one is more scarce in that it was never serialized by DC Comics. In 234 pages + 6 pages of ads for other YA titles in rear. Frontispiece & colorful endpapers by A. C. Valentine. A FIRST EDITION, unknown printing, from 1934, this hardcover 12mo has deep blue cloth-covered boards stamped with black lettering to front & spine. Condition is VG: quite clean, binding strong & square, hinges secure. Pages creamy white with significant tanning, heavier to edges; completely unmarked save for former owner's name in neat pen atop half-title page. Rubbing to extremities & mild corner bumping. The unclipped DJ is Good: colorful, with soiling to spine, an unclosed tear from head of spine twisting onto rear cover, chipping at heel of spine & all corners. Pen coloring inside the "o"s in title on front cover. Nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
