Very good plus first edition book in very good dust jacket. Brown and pink decorative paper covered board with dark teal cloth on spine. Stamped teal lettering and graphics on against a gilt background on spine. Edges at head and tail of board spine are a bit crimped and scuffed but not fraying. The lower edge of the back board panel is bumped with the paper split. Smaller bump along the upper edge of the back panel. The paper covering the lower fore-edge corner tips is slightly rubbed-through. External page edges are age-toned, foxing starting on the side edges. Text pages are lightly age-toned, else internally clean. Text block is snug. Dust jacket is sunned overall, more so on extremities including upper edges of inside flaps. Fore-edge folds are creased and with rub-throughs in several places. Numerous chips of up to 3/8" and closed tears of up to 1/2" along upper edges of front and back panels and head of spine. Front corner at head of spine has a 5/8" closed vertical tear along the fold with an adjacent square loss of 1/4". Damp stain on lower fore-edge corner of front panel. Tail of jacket spine is rubbed and chipped and with loss of up to 3/4" by 1/4". Several smaller chips along the lower edges of front and back panels. All fore-edge corners are rubbed and have loss of up to 3/8". All inside flap corners are uniformly clipped; price of $2.50 is intact.
