About the Author

Don's mother taught him to read at age four. He read anything and everything as he grew up in the 50s. Higher ed, Don majored in beer and girls at Penn State and flunked out at the end of his second year. Working as a parts puller in a junk yard and an oiler on a strip job convinced him to return to college. Buying kegs for his Animal House frat (ΑΓΦ) got him expelled from Clarion State Teachers College. He was immediately drafted.

Luckily he was sent to Germany, not Vietnam. He was a Crypto Radio Teletype operator. After the army he worked in aerospace-defense as a technical writer for ten years. He went to Nathaniel Branden as a lost divorced man. He loved therapy so much he returned to college at 35. After earning his degrees he did the required five-year internship with Branden as his mentor. John closed his own practice in 1994 and devoted his life to writing. White Witch was his first fiction book after publishing 19 nonfiction books. Each one is better. Learning by making mistake. Just like Niki preaches.
