Full polished calf leather binding, with gilt decorated spines, gilt titles to twin leather brown and green labels, inner blind stamped dentelles, top page edges darkened, all marbled. Darkening to the top of Vol IV (rubbing to the top) and some variable toning to the attractive spine. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles to twin labels, five raised bands, gilt decorated compartments, rubbed and darkened to the top of Vol IV and darkened in parts to the other volumes, structurally strong and sound. Joints very good condition gently rubbed. Corners very good condition gently bumped and worn. Boards very good condition polished calf, gently marked and scratched. Page edges good condition top edge darkened, all marbled. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition sound. Paste downs good condition marbled with blind stamped dentelles. End papers good condition marbled, subsequently tanned and foxed. Title good condition tanned with offsetting from the portraits.
