First British edition and printing. In very good orange cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are flat and clean and quite firm; vertical crease to spine. Unmarked end papers. The text block is illustrated with black and white figures and in very good condition. The pages are tightly bound, even and clean. Very good condition. No dedications etc. In good plus off-white dust jacket with outline of head to front with black titles. The jacket is hardly marked; edges are worn and have small closed tears. Not price clipped. In removable protective sleeve.

Our Bookshop is in Copse Road in Clevedon and is open every day, seven days a week, from 10.00am to 5.00pm. The Bookshop Co-operative comprises nearly 650 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town. Clevedon Community Bookshop Co-operative Ltd is a co-operative registered with
the FCA, registration number 31395R.

We take care to describe our books accurately and in detail, and to pack them so that they arrive with you in the same condition that they leave us. However,
should you not be completely satisfied with your purchase, then you may return
the books(s) to us and, provided you do this within 30 days of receiving the
book(s), then we will fully refund the cost of the book and postage.

Shipping Terms

We pack our books in corrugated book wrap or book boxes. We try to respond to orders the same day as we receive them or during the next business day. Shipping costs are based on books weighing up to 1.1 lb, or 0.5KG. If your book order is particularly heavy or oversized, we may contact you to request an additional payment to cover extra postage costs.
