Publisher's green cloth binding with illustration on front of formal garden and building. Some rubbing along edges, bottom corners bumped, spine split at page 80. 83 pages with 11 illustrations and 4 pages of publisher advertisements in back. Volume 9 in the Handbooks of Practical Gardening series. Edwin Beckett was head-gardener for Lord Aldenham at Aldenham House in Hertfordshire. Lord Aldenham's brother, Hon. Vicary Gibbs, was a Member of Parliament and an avid plant collector. Together they won many gardening prizes. This book covers all aspects of strawberry gardening, as well as information about the raspberry, Blackberry, Logan Berry and Japanese Wineberry.
