London: Arthur Hall, Virtue, and Co., 1859. First edition. xi[i]+516p.+24-page publisher's catalogue. Over 400 black and white engravings. Slight foxing to a few pages, otherwise internally very good. Hinges starting between p.80-81 and p.112-113, and slightly weak in a few other places. All edges gilt. Bound in clean and bright green cloth boards, showing very little signs of wear, with elaborate gilt decoration and lettering to boards and spine by John Leighton. Presentation inscription to front free endpaper.
