True first edition with blue quarter cloth spine printed in silver. Paper covered boards, illustrated with full cover photographs of Marines, front and back, with diagonal outline only title, and small 'Semper Fidelis' symbol beneath this. Fair to good condition. Essay with full page black and white photograph following each page of text, about the life of Marines during Boot Camp training. Corner wear and scuffing, Tape repairs, spine tip wear to cloth, a few foxing spots on endpapers. Possibly ex-library, as something appears to have once been glued to last endpapers.Signed on third set of back endpapers by "members of that memorable "salty" platoon that the D.I.'s could never understand.___PLT 816.
