Craig, a Scottish poet responsible for both this work and poetic contributions to Chambers' Edinburgh Periodical. With a small number of vignette illustrations and six illustrated plates from engraver John Wallace, retaining their original tissue guards.Containing twenty-seven poets from Craig, including 'The Madness of Merlin', 'A Dream of Flodden' and 'At the Grave of Scott'.With the illustrated former owner's bookplate of Collin Currie to the front pastedown. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Rubbing to extremities, with bumping to spine head and tail. Discolouration to back strip. Former owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Tape reinforcement to front and rear hinges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good.
