4to; Contents clean and fresh, bound together in patterned boards with brown cloth spine; introductory letter bound in from John C. Jones, dated 1977; each leaflet individually paginated. Fish and Wildlife Service Wildlife Leaflet series primarily provides summaries of technical information for non-technical readers focusing on fish, waterfowl and bird management from the 1930s to the 1970s. Topics include diseases, habitat, propagation, and nutrition. This volume contains the first 100 such leaflets, labeled B-1 through B-50, which were published between January 1935 and February 1938. A few examples: Winter Food of Ruffed Grouse in New York; Infectious Diseases as Cause of Loss of Wildlife; Wildlife of Atlantic Coast Salt Marshes; Quail and Prairies Chicken Management; Fruits Attractive to Birds by Region; etc.
