Item description from seller

Paperback thick octavo, very good condition, black & white photos, light foxing edges, pages lightly toned, minor edgewear. 432 pp. The untold story of Australia's biggest industry disaster: the collapse of the Australian Wool Corporation Reserve Price Scheme in 1991, which accumulated a huge wool stockpile and large debts. Charles Massy has taken ten years to research and write this book. He spoke to most of the main players and gained access to the key documents and correspondence. He has gone inside cabinet and political offices, the Wool Corporation, the boardrooms of international wool buyers, wool processors and designers, and the living rooms of farmers across the country. The author is an Australian merino farmer, wool executive and expert in wool research. This book is his private royal commission.
