First edition of In Breckland Wilds by William George Clarke in the original publisher's cloth binding.A scarce work in the first edition, with only twelve copies held in libraries.The author was the President of the Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists' Society and part of the Prehistoric Society of East Anglia.With an appreciation by H. J. Massingham.Densely illustrated with twenty seven original photographs across fifteen plates and a frontispiece, and with a map of Breckland. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and minor bumping to the extremities. There are some light marks to the front board. The hinges are slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot and light age toning. Very Good.
