Item description from seller

First Edition, First Printing. A near fine copy in a near fine dustwrapper. Easily the 2007 Nobel Prize winner's best novel. According to BBC Radio 4, the Swedish Academy, which awards the prize, described Lessing as "that epicist of the female experience, who with scepticism, fire and visionary power has subjected a divided civilisation to scrutiny". "Oh good, did they say that about me?" Lessing replied. "Oh goodness, well obviously they like me better now than they used to." Also shortlisted for the Booker in 1971. This is an item from our catalogue 6 - THE Man BOOKER PRIZE: Winners, Shortlisted Authors, Judges and More - order your copy from us. It is with great sadness that we have to notify book-lovers from the USA that we cannot send you any books you might be interested in by regular post. We are forced by your current regime to use FedEx Swiss Post GmbH where prices start at CHF 60. Also, you will have to pay customs before we send any parcels to you. Please accept our apologies, but you voted for HIM, so that is where we are. Printing of the Mind of Woman or Man has become most undesirable in the USA.…

Store description

We run our business over the internet and AbeBooks. Any requests can be made in writing to us via AbeBooks. We issue catalogues that you can view and download. We also sell art, music and toys, should you want a change from books ... Please note that our rating on AbeBooks is totally arbitrary: we have not had a single return in the last 30 years and made all of our customers very happy. However, if we do not sell a book in six months our rating goes down. This is an AbeBooks idiocy that we have addressed many times, but to no avail. Just be assured that if you do not like an item you bought from us, we will always compensate you in full. So far this has not ever happened.…
