About this Item
One of 100 copies bound in cloth (of 500, which also included 26 special copies). Folio. Black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. Unpaginated (32pp.). Spotted/mottled to the cloth from warehouse storage, otherwise Very Good indeed, with a few slight impressions or ridges to the preliminary leaves (in production) and just occasional light dustiness to the inner margins, though generally bright internally. Quite a moderate band of fading to the jacket's upper panel, and mild creasing at the head edge, with a short split each to the upper spine fold and upper flap fold, a minor scratch to the lower panel, and the stock also a touch faded at the spine (not affecting the text) but, given its fragility, rather crisp for the most part, the whole presenting well. Although not indicated, this copy belonged to Tom Raworth, who printed the book with Barry Hall at the Goliard Press. In fact, as Alastair Johnston has described, the printing was done on Trigram's larger Glockner flat-bed cylinder press, making this production a three-way collaboration between the key small presses in London.
